This Privacy Policy explains how BuildOz handles information when you use the
BuildOz mobile application.
1. What BuildOz does
BuildOz is a construction calculator app. It helps users estimate materials and
save calculation history. The app currently offers calculator features for free.
2. Information we may collect
- Calculator inputs and calculation history: values you enter in the app and saved results.
- App preferences: language, theme, measurement system, and privacy consent choices.
- Optional account information: if you choose to create an account, your email address and authentication data are processed through Supabase.
- Optional analytics data: if you explicitly consent, the app may collect limited usage events to understand feature usage and app stability.
3. Information we do not collect by default
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not require account creation to use the core calculator features.
- We do not currently enable in-app ads in the released app build.
4. How we use information
- To provide calculator results and save your history inside the app.
- To remember your preferences such as language and units.
- To enable optional sign-in and account-related features, if you choose to use them.
- To improve app quality and troubleshoot problems, only where you have provided consent for analytics.
5. Storage and third-party services
The app may use the following services:
- Local device storage: to save app settings and calculation history on your device.
- Supabase: for optional authentication and account-related data processing.
- Google Play services / Expo services: for app distribution, updates, and core mobile app functionality.
Third-party providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Analytics and consent
Where analytics is available, BuildOz requests consent before enabling it.
You can review or revoke privacy-related consent inside the app settings.
7. Data deletion and account deletion
You can delete saved app data from your device by clearing the app's local data.
If you created an account and want associated data removed, use the in-app delete
data/account option where available.
8. Children
BuildOz is a utility app and is not intended to knowingly collect personal data
from children. If you believe personal information from a child has been provided,
contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information processed by the app and its
service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be
posted at the same URL with a revised effective date.
